Glee 2026
On 11th March 2026, at the Albert Halls in Stirling, 36 Primary 6 and Primary 7 children from Maddiston Primary School participated in and won The Frisson Foundation Glee Challenge 2026 Sectional Trophy.
The children have been rehearsing weekly in Maddiston Community Centre at the end of the school day in preparation.
The choir, named ‘Marvellous Maddiston’, performed two songs – ‘Viva la Vida’ by Coldplay and ‘Shake it off’ by Taylor Swift. They were absolutely fantastic and gave it their all! The children and teachers were overjoyed to come first place in their sectional and it has been a great boost for the whole school community. All staff and parents are so proud of what the children have achieved since beginning rehearsals in January. The choir is excited to learn a new song and compete again at the regional finals in May; undoubtedly exemplifying the school motto- “We shine brightly!”
Glee Regional Final 2024
Marvellous Maddiston Glee Choir got through to the regional final on the 9th May. They showcased an amazing performance of 'Rewrite the Stars' and 'Major Tom Coming Home' and came in second place out of eight schools. At the end of the month, we will find out if they are going forward to the national final in June. Amazing job everyone!
Glee 23/24
We are so proud of our 'Marvellous Maddiston' children. Every one of you worked so hard and you blew us all away with your amazing performance at the Albert Halls. Your singing and dancing was incredible in your rendition of 'Spaceman' by Sam Ryder and 'Re-write the Stars' from the film The Greatest Showman. Hope you enjoyed your experience as much as we did. What a talented bunch you are!
