Food in the Environment

Last year’s Garden Group met up again to harvest the potatoes they had planted. They had been very successful. After a vote it was decided that they would like to eat them as potato wedges, they were delicious!
As part of their World War 2 topic, primary 7 were investigating food in the environment.  They went on a bramble hunt near the golf course and made them into bramble jam.  They shared the jam on pancakes and scones with parents and carers after their singalong.
Staff and parents volunteered to come in one VERY WET weekend to build raised beds for every stage. They all worked hard and were an efficient team. Thank you again to all that helped.
All classes have planted seeds in their raised beds so that they can – hopefully – be harvested after the summer holidays. We have our green fingers crossed.
