Our catchment secondary school is Braes High School and our primary seven pupils have many transition opportunities: parent and child visit; regular visits from maths and literacy departments; science day; sports festivals and sports leader sessions; induction days and our cluster residential trip where the six feeder primaries join together to experience outward bound activities.
As a previous winner of Falkirk Council’s Award for Primary School Sport, P.E has a high profile in our school. We are lucky to have two PE teachers: Mr Ledger and Miss Dalgleish from Braes High working with all stages in our school and it helps our P7 pupils' transition as they already know some teachers. The sports leaders also play a large part to aid the transition of P7 pupils into first year. Throughout the year, they hold sports festivals at Braes High and also take PE sessions at each of the feeder primary schools. The Not Just a Game newsletter below shows some of our previous pupils taking part in P.E at high school.
